With NBA training camp set to begin on September 30, some of the Spurs’ younger players have already begun to arrive back in San Antonio to get a head start on what they’re hoping will be a long season:

The young guys have been joined by All Star veteran teammate and consummate pro LaMarcus Aldridge. It’s hard to believe that Aldridge is set to begin his 5th season in Silver and Black. At the age of 34 and entering his 14th season in the league, Aldridge’s role on the court has been that of a stabilizer, especially for the group of young guys that the Spurs have been rolling out in recent seasons. When nothing else is working, Gregg Popovich and Co. know that they can dump the ball to Aldridge and let him go to work.

He also happens to be the team’s only Air Jordan endorsee, wearing a variety of Air Jordan models every year he’s been with the Spurs. Aldridge recently shared some images on his Instagram at the Spurs’ practice facility, rocking the company’s latest entry to their main line, the Air Jordan 34:
Releasing this Wednesday at $180 in the same colorway that is on Alridge’s feet (“Blue Void”), the latest in the longest-running signature sneaker line will introduce the world to the Jordan Eclipse Plate: the successor to the well-received Flight Plate that found its way on the last few Air Jordan releases. You can read more about the AJ34 at one of my favorite sneaker websites, KicksOnFire.
Are you copping these when they come out? How excited are you for the Spurs this season?
