On Bill Simmons’ podcast, the host took a moment to roast San Antonio Spurs and Team USA head coach Gregg Popovich for his “grumpy” attitude toward reporters and his defense of the 7th place ending to the U.S. team’s World Cup summer finish.

Guest Malcolm Gladwell did not take the bait and countered the disgruntled Simmons at all points.

What do you think, Pounders, is Simmons’ attitude justified. If Gregg Popovich wasn’t with the Spurs, would you feel similarly? Or has the greatest coach of this generation earned the right to defend his team and question the questions or choose to not accept the premise before answering reporters?
