There seems to be nothing more exciting for the San Antonio Spurs’ upcoming season than the return of Dejounte Murray. True, he had to sit out the 2018-19 season and give himself the full term to heal, but his grit and determination was apparent throughout.

Going back one season, Dejounte Murray has the most rebounds of any Spurs guard in history. His agility and ability to get anywhere on the floor earned him NBA All-Defensive Second Team.

The young point guard spent some time this summer with LeBron James and Chris Paul working out, so he should be ready.

But today, Dejounte celebrates his 23rd birthday. So cheer the man on and wish him the best as we are just weeks away from the season opener and what promises to be a stellar Spurs season.

Happy birthday, Dejounte.
