There’s been a time change for Tony Parker’s jersey retirement

It’s never too early to book your Lyft

NBA: Charlotte Hornets at San Antonio Spurs Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

I know, I know, November 11th seems so far in the distance, but believe me. It will creep up faster than you think. And you’ll be happy this information was at your disposal in advance.

A press release from the Spurs made mention of an earlier time.

The San Antonio Spurs today announced that tipoff for the Spurs vs. Memphis Grizzlies game at the AT&T Center on Monday, Nov. 11 has been moved up to 6:30 p.m. CT. The Spurs will retire Tony Parker’s No. 9 jersey after the game.

Whether it was because of the later evening or possibly broadcasting concerns was unclear, but if you are one of the fortunate to have seats, make note of the earlier time, the obvious sell out and packed parking, and the late night overall.

Tickets are available at Spurs.com or Ticketmaster.com, or by contacting a representative at 210-444-5050. More information on Parker’s jersey retirement will be announced at a later date.

According to the release, there are still tickets available, so check it out if you plan on attending.

Parker joins fellow Big 3 teammates, the most recent retired jerseys by the San Antonio Spurs. Manu Ginobili had his jersey retired last March 28th.

Tim Duncan’s ceremony took place on December 18, 2016.

Parker is the 10th retiree. In addition to Duncan and Ginobili, Bruce Bowen, Sean Elliott, George Gervin, Avery Johnson, Johnny Moore, David Robinson and James Silas have all had their numbers retired.

So get that baby sitter, take of November 12th, and get down to the AT&T center early so you don;t miss any of the festivities.
