It’s been a riveting season on NCAA basketball. I had such a heavy case of March Madness, so bad, in fact, that I needed a couple of days off from work.
But after Baylor Lady Bears knocked out the Oregon Ducks and Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish tames the Connecticut Huskies, the NCAA Women’s Basketball is ready tonight to crown a champion. Notre Dame is looking to go back-to-back after last season’s three point win over Mississippi State. This will be the Fighting Irish’s sixth appearance over the last decade, seventh since the tournament’s inception in 1982. They are 2-4 in their previous six appearances.
The Lady Bears, on the other hand, have only been twice, but have been victorious in both of the previous championship attempts. Their last, in 2012, came off an impressive undefeated 40-0 season.
Who will win the 2019 NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship?
