Welcome to the game thread. The Spurs have been on a hot streak lately, winning 8 games in a row and playing their best defense as they jockey for playoff position in the west. Tonight’s game will be the toughest test yet, as they face Stephen Curry and the Western Conference leading Golden State Warriors. Kevin Durant and DeMarcus Cousins are questionable tonight, but the offensive firepower of the Warriors is still going to be tough for the Silver and Black to slow down. Derrick White has been terrific guarding the best guards in the league lately, and tonight he’s on Steph, so it should be fun to watch. Jakob Poeltl and LaMarcus Aldridge should have big nights against the undersized frontcourt of the Warriors, but they need to keep turnovers to a minimum to keep their fast break offense from gathering points in bunches. DeMar DeRozan matches up well with his size against the starters of Golden State, so expect a big night from him. Shaun Livingston has the same height advantage against the Spurs bench guards, so that’s something to watch tonight. Go Spurs GO!
