After a disappointing start in Sacramento, the Spurs head to Oakland without their three best players to face the Warriors

Welcome to the game thread. It wasn’t exactly an auspicious start for the Rodeo Road Trip on Monday against the Sacramento Kings, who used their speed and athleticism to walk all over the Spurs defense and run away with a win. Tonight’s nationally televised contest against the league’s best team looks even rougher, with LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan resting for tomorrow’s contest against the Portland Trail Blazers. Derrick White is still out with heel soreness, and with Dejounte Murray out for the season, the Silver and Black are without their four best players tonight. It’s going to be a good opportunity for young guys like Jakob Poeltl and Lonnie Walker IV to make their marks, and hopefully Rudy Gay can have a big night. Let’s make this an interesting game to watch, and Go Spurs GO!
