Happy birthday, Sean Elliott

The Spurs great-turned-announcer celebrates today.

Spurs at Blazers

Keep an eye open if you are out on the town this evening. The owner of the Memorial Day Miracle, Mr. Sean Elliott turns 51 today.

Tonight he will be calling the last home game before the Spurs head out on their annual Rodeo Road Trip. But after the game, all bets are off. Elliott is a social creature and loves his eats, so there is a good chance he’ll be spotted at one of San Antonio’s fine dining establishments.

So raise a glass and wish a happy birthday to Sean Elliott, a legend whose number hangs proudly in the rafters of the AT&T Center, a member of the Spurs first 1999 NBA Championship, and — along with Bill Land — one of the best commentating teams in the NBA.

And cheer on the Spurs tonight as they host the New Orleans Pelicans for their final regular season match-up. The Spurs hold a 2-1 lead in the season series and can lock in a tie-breaker with a “W” tonight.
