Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

Lonnie Walker IV!

In case you haven’t been around this week, the Spurs played a game Tuesday night against the Rockets, and won* a double overtime thriller due to the heroics of one Lonnie Walker IV, along with a great defensive performance from Jakob Poeltl and a solid shooting night from Bryn Forbes. Tonight they face the talented Kings, who are short-handed with De’Aaron Fox out tonight. Marvin Bagley III might play after missing about six weeks with a broken thumb, and Bogdan Bogdanovic should play tonight after missing a game with a knee contusion. LaMarcus Aldridge is expected to miss tonight’s game with the same recurring thigh soreness that has kept him out of the last couple of games. Will the Spurs build on their big win, or will they falter and let the young Kings steal a win? In either case, the team will have a while to think it over, because they have five days off after tonight’s game. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
