It’s time for San Antonio Spurs at Dallas Mavericks

Luca Doncic returns to action tonight, just in time to face the Silver and Black

NBA: San Antonio Spurs at Dallas Mavericks Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

The Spurs found a winning strategy on December 23rd against the Grizzlies, which was just to hit all of their shots. Tonight, we will find out if that’s sustainable against the Mavericks, who have been playing really well behind Kristaps Porzingas, and should be firing on all cylinders tonight with the return of Luka Doncic to action after missing a time with an ankle injury. The Spurs got the best game of the season against Memphis from LaMarcus Aldridge, along with solid contributions from DeMar DeRozan and everybody’s favorite Italian slinger, Marco Belinelli. This would be a good night for the young guys to go off, and make it another Lonnie Walker IV game. Let’s all eat Christmas leftovers and watch some basketball. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
