The Spurs try to maintain their focus on the road after their big win over the Clippers on Friday

NBA: Detroit Pistons at San Antonio Spurs Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

The Spurs played their best game of the season on Friday, and they try to keep things going today in an afternoon contest against the Pistons. LaMarcus Aldridge is out today with thigh soreness, and he was one of the main bright spots in the contest against the Clipper. Derrick White will have to continue to shoot well and facilitate the offense by distributing the ball. Dejounte Murray will lead the bench unit, and DeMarre Carroll should get more court time with Aldridge out. Hopefully, we can see more of Lonnie Walker IV today after his breakout performance against the Timberwolves last Wednesday. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
