Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.
On Wednesday night, the Spurs played competitively up until the final minutes of the game, when the Timberwolves put them away with clutch shots and key stops. They try to reverse the script tonight against Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and the Clippers. The Spurs will need the usual solid games from LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan, plus they will need at least one additional Spur to make an unexpected contribution to get past the team that everyone is picking to be one of the top two teams in the league. Will tonight be the night that Lonnie Walker IV claims a regular spot in the rotation? Can Derrick White get over his reluctance to take critical shots? Let’s watch and find out. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
