Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.
A visit to Madison Square Garden was all it took to cure the ills that have been troubling the Silver and Black this season, right? They ended the longest losing streak of the Popovich era on Saturday in the Big Apple, and return home tonight to face arguably the best team in the league, the streaking Lakers. Last time the Spurs faced the Lakers, Dwight Howard went crazy in the second half and the Lakers won 103-96. Led by LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Purple and Gold are on a 7 game winning streak, with the only negative note being Rajon Rondo’s ejection and fine for unsportsmanlike physical contact against Dennis Schroeder. That looks like it hurt ... a lot. Hopefully, he doesn’t try that against any of the Spurs players. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
