The reeling Spurs the 76ers as they try avoid their eighth straight loss

NBA: San Antonio Spurs at Philadelphia 76ers Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

Seven. That’s how many games the Spurs have lost in a row, and tonight it might reach eight. The Spurs scored a ton of points on Wednesday night, but they gave away even more to the Wizards. The change in the starting lineup seemed to help a bit, until the bench unit came in and blew a lead in the third quarter by allowing Bradley Beal to spark a 23-3 run by the home team. It doesn’t get any easier tonight, as they face the 76ers, who are 9-5 on the season, and in 5th place in the East. Go SPURS GooOOOoo!!
