HEB “Spurs Retirement” commercial has a new member

New, comments

No jersey unveiling is complete without joining the “Club.”

In 2016, Tim Duncan retired.

[Note: Duncan’s 30-second HEB Retirement Club commercial is no longer available on video-sharing sites. It is the first spot in this 2016 collection. Turn it off before “he who is not to be named” shows. Also, ignore the Lakers logo! (I have no idea what that is about.)

If you do not want the 2016 collection, please enjoy the updated H.E.B. “teaser”.]

Then there was 2017, where Tim was part of the gang and obviously taking on a larger leadership role . . . in the food ordering department.

But, in 2018, Manu was introduced to the banner boys.

And now Tony Parker has joined George “The Iceman” Gervin, “The Admiral” David Robinson, Bruce Bowen, Sean Elliott, Timmy, and Manu in his HEB retirement commercial, which debuted appropriately enough on Monday night at Parker’s retirement celebration.

Tony’s minute-long sport has Manu Ginobili driving Parker out to Legend Ranch where he sees a roping Elliott, a yoga-driven Gervin, Bowen on the grill, and Duncan bringing #9 his own ATV.

Looks like the cats may be set for a few seasons.

Welcome to the Retirement Club, Tony.
