Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

The Spurs haven’t won a game in the preseason, but they really looked like they might on Sunday afternoon against the Pelicans, before a late surge from Zion Williamson and Jrue Holiday sunk the Silver and Black. Tonight, they play the next to last of the games that don’t count in 2019, against the Rockets with their revamped lineup featuring Russell Westbrook, with James Harden taking as many steps as he needs to to get off his shots.

The Spurs have one more preseason game, which will be played on Friday at 7:30 PM in teh AT&T Center against the rebuilding Memphis Grizzlies, but expect Coach Gregg Popovich to rest a lot of the rotation players, so tonight might the best chance for the Spurs to bring home a win before the actual season starts next Wednesday. Not that it matters much, but a win would probably make the fans feel a little less nervous. So, GO Spurs GOoOOO!
