I know, I know. I’m a little biased. But to be honest, Pounding the Rock says a lot about the Spurs as an organization. It defines a mentality that has been at the core of its decades-long success. That and the coach who introduced the concept of pounding the rock . . . and a first round draft choice that became the greatest power forward of all time. And a military All-Star center who embraced a military city, bringing class and dignity on a level rarely matched in the sport of basketball.
