Spurs drop a spot with last night’s Pelicans win

New, comments

But hold tight, lots of head-to-head match-ups tonight

NBA: San Antonio Spurs at Portland Trail Blazers Jaime Valdez-USA TODAY Sports

Yesterday

Pelicans won and moved up to 5th knocking the Spurs to 6th and Thunder to 7th. Timberwolves also won and moved back into 8th.

But rest assured, it’s all subject to change.

Today

2:30 p.m.- Clippers and Nuggets! This could be the one the forces Doc Rivers to order his Carnival Cruise tickets.

7:30 p.m.- Thunder in Houston. The Rockets are a lock, so let’s hope for a little more separation between the Spurs and Oklahoma City.

7:30 p.m.- The Pelicans in Oakland. The Warriors are struggling and/or coasting, but a loss to New orleans (and a win in San Antonio) puts the good guys back in 5th).

8:00 p.m.- The Trail Blazers in San Antonio. The Spurs have stayed behind Portland by 3 games for some time now. They’re not catching the 3rd spot, but a home win is a must in this “ne’er-do-well-on-the-road” phase.
