How to help a Spurs fan in need

Aloha, Pounders!

If you've been around a while, you may remember me from the original run of the Study Hall series. I haven't been able to contribute much since my family and I moved to Hawaii 2 years ago (it's been very rough but we make do), but I've been lurking on PTR in the intervening months and am happy to see the community continuing strong, even without my bland, overwrought literary contributions.

I find myself back in San Antonio this week under tragic circumstances. My sister-in-law, Kristen Kokernot, passed away on Friday, leaving behind a 12-year-old son, 16-year-old daughter, and a mountain of medical bills. Over the coming months, my wife and I will be in town with our boys working out custody issues, but in the short term we're trying to help her family find a way to pay for the $15k+ in funeral expenses.

Kristen was funny and kind, a loving mother, and a huge Spurs fan. She always said she was going to marry Tony Parker. As someone who married into the Spurs family, a huge part of my own Spurs fandom is owed to Kristen.

I'm not someone who likes to ask for help (just ask my wife), but if any of you Pounders have it in your heart to help out in some way, please consider contributing to her GoFundMe. I hope to run into some of you at a Spurs game in the coming months. I appreciate you all.
