It’s time for Spurs at Rockets

Sn Antonio looks for redemption versus Houston

NBA: Houston Rockets at San Antonio Spurs Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

Welcome to the Game Thread. Veterans of the Game Thread know how we do things around here, but for all you newbies we have a few rules. Our community guidelines apply and basically say be cool, no personal attacks, don’t troll and don’t swear too much.

Welcome to the game thread. What a difference a few weeks make. The Spurs are on a roll, winning 7 of the last 8, the last being a redemptive 124-98 rout of the Minnesota Timberwolves last night. The last time the Spurs faced the Rockets, James Harden and company blew out the Spurs 136-105. Tonight, the Rockets are missing Chris Paul with a hamstring injury, but the Spurs have not won the second game of a back-to-back this season. LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan should be well-rested tonight because they were able to sit on the bench for most of the second half last night as Spurs reserves took care of the T-Wolves. It should be a good chance for the Silver and Black to solidify their standing as a playoff team. Go Spurs GO!
