One of the most immediately recognizable characteristics of promising Spurs rookie Lonnie Walker IV is his signature hair style, which caught the eyes of many on draft night when his Spurs hat seemingly hovered over his head.

Now, a rumor is circulating that he has cut his signature locks thanks to an obscure social media post (that doesn’t have a good link, btw), where an account with Walker’s Instagram profile claims “Finally cut my hair no more floating hats” with a crying emoji.

Due to the bad link, no such post currently existing on Walker’s Instagram account, and the fact that his hat does not appear to be sitting much lower than it was in the draft, it’s difficult to tell if this is real or a prank. I guess we’ll find out tonight during the Silver and Black Scrimmage when he is expected to make his Spurs debut, but until then I’ll leave it up to you Pounders to speculate the authenticity of this image.
