Hopefully foresight isn't 20/20

This has been a wacky off-season indeed.

Yes, the Spurs are a well-oiled machine that has churned along for 20 years with few hitches. But for the better part of those 20 years we have always had the Big 3 to fall back on. This year feels a bit different:

- No Timmie.

- No Tony. And when he does come back we have no idea what he will look like. No doubt he will be back, but will he look like 40 year old Andre Miller or will he still be able to score in the paint and cut to the basket like the Tony of old?

- Manu is 39.

- We signed a 30 year old wing coming off an Achilles surgery.

- We signed a 37 year old power forward to a contract worth 22x more than a 28 year old former MVP point guard.

- Neither Murray not White look like they're going to light the league on fire this year.

- Danny Green is still the premier 3-D guy but can't really dribble.

- Kahwi made the leap to offensive juggernaut... is it possible for him to take another step?

- Aldridge is 32 and his best days are likely behind him.

- we missed out on Paul, Irving, George.

- Golden State kept the and together and will likely be better with another year together.

- Houston got a lot better.

- Oklahoma got a lot better.

- Minnesota got a lot better.

- A 3rd-5th seed seems very much a possibility.

I know we're all hoping Manu's last year isn't a throw away year. But hard to feel differently.

We seem to have also mortgaged our future with Pau's and Mills' contract. Anyone feel differently?
