Manu Ginobili puts the Spurs ahead with a flourish

New, comments

Boston led the first 23:59 of the game, then Manu happened.

In San Antonio for their second game of the season against the Spurs, the Boston Celtics started off hot, and grabbed a quick 10-0 lead behind Kyrie Irving’s 17 first quarter points. The home team slowly pulled their way back, but mistakes and continued excellent shooting from the visitors kept the Silver and Black at bay.

But down two points with 4.9 seconds in the half, the Spurs worked the ball up the court for one last shot before intermission, Manu Ginobili did his thing:

And that gave the Spurs their first lead of the game — at the buzzer. Then he did it again with five seconds left in the game.

Then the game ended when Kyrie Irving missed a three to tie it. Thanks, Manu.
