Aldridge is coming off a mixed year in which he had stretches of terrific play, endured a health scare, wasn’t voted into the All Star game, helped the team to the WCF, and struggled mightily after injuries decimated the starting lineup. At the beginning of the off-season he featured in several trade rumors, so it seemed he was on his way out of San Antonio.
Then, Aldridge talked about a conversation he had with Gregg Popovich about his role with the team. It looks like Popovich has sold the big man on the Spurs for the future.
