Spurs waive Amida Brimah and London Perrantes

The roster appears set for the start of the 2017-2018 season.

The Spurs have officially waived center Amida Brimah and guard London Perrantes, per Spurs.com. This is not surprising since both players were considered training camp invitees and were on non-guaranteed contracts. Both played sparingly in the preseason.

Brimah was signed on Sept. 25 and averaged 3.0 points and 3.0 rebounds in 5.7 minutes over three games this preseason with the Spurs. Perrantes, signed on Aug. 23, averaged 1.0 point in 4.8 minutes in three preseason games with the Silver and Black.

There is no word on if they will sign with the Austin Spurs or go elsewhere.

The move leaves the Spurs’ roster at the maximum 17 players, including their two-way contract players, Matt Costello and Darrun Hilliard. Bryn Forbes is the only remaining player on the roster with a non-guaranteed contract. It will become guaranteed if he is still with the team on January 10.
