Once upon a time, the Thunder were supposed to be the team that was going to dethrone the Spurs from their unprecedented dominance. If the Spurs end up winning this series, it could be the nail in the coffin for Durant's time in Oklahoma City.
This kind of reaction stems directly from the 2012 Western Conference Finals, when the Thunder came back from an 0-2 deficit to take the series away from the Spurs. It is good to know the team still uses those loses as motivation.
We also expect rings, lots and lots of rings.
Don't look now, but that same Danny Green that set NBA Finals records a few years ago is dropping bombs from the three-point line again. Oklahoma City may have brought Thunder, but Green made it rain.
Speaking of motivation -- is there any coach in the league that gets his team to play as hard as Pop does?
