Could the Spurs land Al Horford in free agency?

New, comments

The All Star Center will be an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Since winning back to back titles at Florida (under Billy Donovan), Al Horford has played the entirety of his NBA career with the Atlanta Hawks. However, after being swept out of the playoffs two years in a row by the Cleveland Cavaliers, Horford could potentially be looking for a change. The versatile big man will be an unrestricted free agent this summer, and rumors are swirling that he could potentially join the Spurs.

From Inquisitr.com:

Earlier this season, the Atlanta Hawks had the majority of their players on the trading block. That included Al Horford, which is shocking because he has been a consistent presence for the team. That could be sending a message to the All Star center that he might not be in the Hawks long term plans.

Last year, the Spurs surprised the NBA world by wooing LaMarcus Aldridge. Can they raise the stakes again and convince Al Horford to sign on the dotted line? A front court of Aldridge, Horford, and Kawhi Leonard would be a thing of beauty.

Time will tell.
