Manu Ginobili had a historic night in his return from a month-long absence, scoring 22 points in 15 minutes, a feat that hasn't been done in nearly 20 years, and only three times previously in the past 32. Check out Michael Erler's recap for video of his fantastic night. So with Manu's game already documented let's look at West's game where he started at center for the resting Tim Duncan.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
David West is pretty automatic from 16 feet to the 3-point line, taking 35% of his shots from that distance and knocking down 51.3% of them. Tony Parker found West in the opening minute of the game for a couple of easy buckets.
A power dribble, hop-step move gets West the hoop and the harm as Boogie catches him on the arm.
Man, Boogie's effort leaves something to be desired and after a lazy reach-in he just gives up on the play. If you squint, this could easily be Boris Diaw driving and feeding West.
Pretty simple stuff from the Spurs, but effective nonetheless.
West will kill you from here and Quincy Acy makes the choice to help on Kyle Anderson instead of sticking with West. Another easy bucket.
Okay, we'll do one from Manu for posterity and because, well, The Manu is amazing. Wrong footed, off-balance and the foul. With Manu back and apparently fine, t's hard not to feel pretty good about the Spurs right now.
