And just like that, PATFO strikes again -- making another move that changes the face of the team.
Kevin Martin is playoff eligible because his deal was bought out by the Minnesota Timberwolves before the buyout deadline, which allows him to compete in the playoffs for any team of his choice.
This season, Kevin Martin is averaging 10.6 points, 1.2 assists and 2.1 rebounds in 21.4 minutes per game.
But the Spurs' roster is full, so they will have to waive a player from the team, with likely candidates being Matt Bonner, or Rasual Butler. Matt Bonner has been with the Spurs for a long time, but has not contributed much this season. It's Butler's first year with the Spurs, but he has provided a spark off the bench of late.
Whichever it is, we will let you know as soon as we get word.
