Game Preview: San Antonio Spurs at Memphis Grizzlies

The Spurs play Memphis for the 2nd time in four days, because somebody somewhere thought that was a good idea.

This all seems oddly familiar. The Spurs continue their two game game road trip in Memphis after losing their first SEGABABA of the season in Oklahoma City on Saturday night. I feel like I should just copy and paste the preview from Friday night's game. I guess the NBA would rather see the Southwest Division rivals play twice in four days than spread out the games a bit.  Of course this is in line with the Spurs late season schedule this year.

Memphis hasn't played since the game on Friday, meanwhile the Spurs lost in a blowout to the Thunder. Of course it didn't help that the Spurs sat four of their starters and 5 of their top six rotation players. Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker will also be out for this game.  Kawhi Leonard might be back from his thigh contusion, but nothing is has been stated as of this writing.

As for Memphis, they are all too familiar with injuries and players missing time as both Marc Gasol and Mike Conley have missed significant time. Now Zach Randolph might be out with an injury and/or a legal issue on top of all the other problems. Shockingly, the Grizz are still in line for a playoff spot despite all of those set backs. The last two games haven't helped their cause by losing to a Spurs team without Leonard, Danny Green, Boris Diaw and Patty Mills and losing to the Lakers. The former can be forgiven, but the latter is pretty bad, even for a injury ridden squad (which is both true and fun to say).

But despite the loss to the Spurs on Friday night, the Grizz will be at home and likely very scrappy. The Spurs should have the services of LaMarcus Aldridge, which was enough to put the Spurs over the top Friday night. One would think the Spurs will go back to that well many times tonight. Memphis will have to lean on the likes Lance Stephenson, Matt Barnes and JaMychal Green.  That doesn't really scare me as a Spurs fan, but I'm not having a good run regarding previews and wins lately, so let's hope the jinx ends tonight. On to my best guess at the starting lineups:
