The Spurs defense won't be itself until Duncan and Leonard are fully back

The Spurs have won eight of their last ten, but they've struggled to put away bottom-dwellers like the Lakers and Suns because their defense has faltered without all of their pieces.

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

It's been quite a while since a fully-engaged Tim Duncan has teamed up with a healthy Kawhi Leonard, and the Spurs defense is showing the effects of playing without its two defensive stalwarts. That's the first thing I discuss on my weekly appearance on the Phil Naessens Show. But we also touch on the piece I wrote about the Spurs visiting the service for Monty Williams' wife, and then transition into the kind of player that teams can't win without.

You can visit Phil's site to download the show, or just listen to it in the player below. I'm his first guest this week.

I hope you enjoy the podcast, and leave your reaction, suggestions, and questions in the comments.
