The Spurs got back to winning on the road Thursday night with a 107-92 victory over Phoenix. They entered the final period with just a 3 point lead after a back and forth game, but outscored the Suns 33-21 in the 4th, which included an 11-0 run to pull away with the win. San Antonio made it difficult on themselves with 20 turnovers, although they only allowed 16 points off those miscues.
Kawhi Leonard and Pau Gasol led the Spurs with 18 each, while the Suns were paced by Devin Booker’s 17. Dewayne Dedmon came off the bench to spark the good guys with 11 and 9, along with some great hustle. He’s so much fun to watch.
The Spurs will play the Pelicans Sunday. And grab the tissues, because Tim Duncan will have his jersey retired at this game.
