For the second game in a row, the Spurs began the game sloppy, finding themselves down to the Jazz 10-2 within the first 4 minutes Friday Night. A couple of Kawhi free throws and a Patty 3 began a run that gave the Spurs a 15-13 lead they would not give up.
The Spurs looked much better tonight, more crisp and fresh off the ball than they did Tuesday night. Patty Mills getting the start seemed to spark the offense, and he finished with 16 points, including 4-7 from deep. Dewayne Dedmon is the biggest difference off the bench for me, finishing with 6 points, 8 boards, and 3 impressive blocks. I'm really enjoying watching this dude play.
The Jazz, for the most part, were kept in check, save a few poor defensive rotations. George Hill only had 13 points tonight, while Rodney Hood lead the Jazz with 18.
Stop me if you've heard this one before, but Kawhi led the Spurs with 29 points and 11 rebounds, going a perfect 10-10 from the stripe.
