San Antonio vs. Dallas, Final Score: Spurs comeback downs Mavericks, 94-87

After a mediocre first half and an awful third quarter, the Spurs put the Mavs away down the stretch with some excellent clutch play.

The Spurs were staring down the barrel of their second straight loss to a struggling team. Down eight to the Mavericks with seven minutes left in the fourth, the Spurs put on a 25-10 run to pull ahead and keep their spotless road record intact.

The hero of the game was also the leading scorer — Patty Mills went 6-7 in the final period and ended his hot-shooting night with 23 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds. Kawhi Leonard struggled from the field, but ended with 21 points on 16 shots, aided by his 9-12 from the stripe. Yes, that’s correct: he missed three freebies in a single game.

Next up are the Wizards on Friday.
