Tony Parker will play against Pistons, Danny Green will rest

Tony Parker will play for the first time since last Tuesday, while Danny Green will rest after making his season debut Wednesday.

The San Antonio Spurs announced Friday afternoon that guard Tony Parker will play in Friday night’s home game against Detroit, while Danny Green will miss the game to rest.

Green made his season debut in Wednesday’s home loss to Houston.

It will be Parker’s first action since Nov. 1, when he recorded six points and six assists in a loss to Utah.

Friday night’s game tips off at 7:30 p.m. CT in San Antonio.
