GIF Breakdown: San Antonio Spurs at Phoenix Suns

A quick look at some of the plays that helped the Spurs cruise past the Suns on Thursday night.

Whenever I see Kawhi Leonard settle for a turnaround 16-footer, which he does convert at a nice clip, when he's being guarded one-on-one I always wonder why he doesn't just do this.

On the night that it was announced that Whi would be starting in the 2016 All-Star Game he was his usual fantastic self, finishing with 21 points in 22 minutes and a game-high +24. Here he gets an and-one with a strong move.

The Suns pay for not sending anyone back in transition and a Boris Diaw save sets an easy score in motion. As Boris passes the ball to Patty Mills, Kawhi gets the jump on Cory Jefferson, Patty makes a great pass and Kawhi gets the easy flush.

Over the last two games Jonathon Simmons has been hot and has hit 10 of his 16 field goal attempts, none as high off of the glass as this beauty.

And Simmons with a more direct approach to scoring.

At about the halfcourt sun I realized that Boris Diaw was in the process of going coast-to-coast. Pure joy ensued.

That's it for this quick edition of GIF Breakdown. We'll be back after the Lakers game.
