VIDEO: LaMarcus Aldridge 2014-2015 Highlight Reel

Has it hit you my fellow Spurs fans? Have you been able to comprehend just how incredible these past two months have been for your team? I thought the answer for myself personally was a resounding "yes." But I soon found that "knowledge" doesn't necessarily imply "comprehension."

Followers of the NBA know that LaMarcus Aldridge was the biggest free agent signing of the offseason. Fans of the Silver and Black know that he was the first landscape-altering free agent, or free agent of note, in the Duncan-Popovich era. He has numerous awards and accolades. His immense respect and admiration for the Spurs is well documented. His basketball talent is second to few big men who currently roam basketball courts. This is all common knowledge.

However, in order to fully comprehend just how monumental Aldridge's signing was, one must watch him in action. Like many proud members of Spurs Nation, I have spent little time watching Trailblazers games the last ten years. Though I was well aware of LMA's incredible skill set and offensive dominance before this summer, watching hours of his highlight videos the past few months has allowed me to better comprehend the enormity of his addition.

Obviously there will be no true comprehension by anyone until Aldridge plays a game in a Spurs uniform. In the meantime, let's soak in these highlights. Be excited, Spurs fans. This guy is on our team. Wow.
