What's the most indelible Tim Duncan memory?

Sam Sharpe-USA TODAY Sports

Tim Duncan has played 18 seasons with the San Antonio Spurs. Along the way he's accomplished quite a bit, to say the least. There's the five championships, the two MVPs, the Rookie of the Year, the numerous all-star appearances, all-defense teams and all-NBA teams as well as a place high up on most of the all-time leaderboards. We know how great he is at playing the game of basketball and as a Spurs fan I'm sure your relationship to Tim has grown beyond appreciating how great of a basketball player he is. That's what this is about.

No matter how long you've been a fan of Duncan, whether it started in the Clinton Administration or as recently as last season, we all share an admiration for some of his traits, the unquestionable ones that have played a large part in his sustained success in the league -- the consistency, the commitment to excellence and the drive to strive to be the best he can be even when there's nothing left to prove, the drama-free-ness of his career, his understated passion, the quiet fire of his ultra-competitive nature, the lack of concern for his numbers and his ability to lead and inspire his teammates by being an all-time great teammate. I think those are things that Spurs fans universally appreciate about Tim.

We thought it would be a fun community exercise to share stories, memories, thoughts, lessons learned, anything that really stands out to you about Big Fun. While we wait for official word on his intentions for the 2015-16 season, let's celebrate the legendary big man together.
