The NBA announced the first and second All-Defensive teams and Kawhi Leonard and Tim Duncan were among the 10 players to receive a nod. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year once again dominated the ballots, edging out Golden State's Draymond Green for most points. Tim Duncan finished 10th, narrowly making the second team.
This will be Duncan's 15th All-Defensive team nod in 18 years in the league (eight first team selections, seven second team selections). It's Leonard's second selection and the first time he makes the first team.
The Spurs were one of three teams to have two representatives, along with the Clippers and the Warriors. Danny Green and Manu Ginobili also received votes.
