The OG Big-Three of Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker each chipped in four points and the Spurs won by 30. The bench was great for the second straight game and are coming alive, though the competition has been less than a true test, at the right time of the year.
I don't know what to say about this one. The Spurs played a beautiful offensive game against a team that is done playing competitive basketball for the season.
I'm sure Michael Erler will regale you with details and observations in the recap that will be out soon. Me, I'm taking this blowout as a sign that I should embrace the night and see what kind of trouble I can get into.
Your Spurs improve to 50-26 on the season and are tied with the Los Angeles Clippers for the fifth seed in the Western Conference.
Quick Notes:
- All 13 Spurs in uniform tonight scored.
- Kawhi Leonard again dropped 20, including 15 in the first quarter, in his 21-and-a-half minutes. Kawhi Leonard, superhero, also led the team with a +27.
- 33 of San Antonio's 47 field goals were assisted.
- IcyHot was set to broil and knocked down all six of his three-point attempts.
- Everyone get's an A+.
GIF of the Night:
It's all fun and games when you're up by 33.
Up Next:
The Spurs will host the red-hot Golden State Warriors on Sunday night. The Dubs have the better record, but the Spurs have the better net-rating since February 28th. Should be fun.
