Watch: Kawhi Leonard achieves career high scoring output

I don't know what to say about the young star. He's better than anyone could have imagined and he still has several years of growth ahead. The future of the Spurs is blindingly bright.

Kawhi Leonard is so good. I mean, like stoopid, amazine good. He just picked up the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award, and while I'm not sure he deserved it (only because he missed so many games,)  it sure is good to have the best defender in the game on the side of the good guys.

Usually the DPoY award goes to a guy who isn't great offensively. I mean, how is it that in 18 years Tim Duncan never picked up the award while Ron Artest and Marcus Camby did? What the Spurs have in Leonard is truly special - a defense-first stud that is becoming a true offensive star while we watch.

The Spurs beat the Clippers with ease on Friday night behind a great defensive team effort and shots falling for the good guys in the AT&T Center. No one was better than Kawhi on Friday and the young man scored 32 points on 18 shots. Check out how Whi got his points in my latest highlight reel to RJD2's "Get It"
