SAN ANTONIO SPURS TO HOST BLOCK PARTY AT TRAVIS PARK ON FRIDAY

Gear Up for the Playoffs and Join the Coyote, Silver Dancers and Team Energy For a Chance to Win Playoff Tickets

SAN ANTONIO (April 15, 2015) - The San Antonio Spurs are hosting a block party on Friday, April 17 at Travis Park to get fans geared up for the playoffs. The festivities start at 6 p.m. and the free event will feature food trucks, live entertainment, balloon artists, vendors, a photo booth and a host of giveaways, including Spurs playoff tickets.  Spurs in-arena DJ, DeeJay Quake, will play music throughout the night and fans will be treated to performances by Team Energy and the Silver Dancers, as well as the playful antics of the Coyote.  Spurs fans attending the event should don their best Silver and Black, as the "best dressed fan" will be awarded a pair of tickets to the playoffs.

Throughout the playoffs, Spurs fans are encouraged to showcase their Spurs spirit on social media using the hashtag #GoSpursGo to submit photos and videos on Facebook (Facebook.com/Spurs), Twitter (@Spurs), Instagram (@Spurs) or Snapchat (OfficialSpurs).  The best content will be featured on Spurs.com and participants will have a chance to win a slew of prizes.

The Spurs are making their 18th consecutive postseason appearance and have posted 50 or more wins for 16 straight seasons. The first round playoff schedule with exact dates, times and opponent will be announced at a later date.  The Spurs 2015 Playoffs are presented by H-E-B.

Travis Park re-opened in March 31, 2014 after a $500,000 renovation and hosts a variety of events every third Friday of the month.
