Reggie Williams will remain with the Spurs at least for another 10 days.
SAN ANTONIO (FEB. 8, 2015) - The San Antonio Spurs today announced that they have signed forward Reggie Williams to a second 10-day contract.
Williams has appeared in three games for the Spurs since being signed on Jan. 28.
Prior to San Antonio, Williams appeared in 13 games this season for the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA D-League, averaging 16.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.08 steals in 31.9 minutes.
Williams has barely played for the Spurs in his first stint and it's unlikely he'll see the court much in the next three games unless Gregg Popovich decides to rest more than one wing in the upcoming back-to-back against the Raptors and Pacers.
The Spurs will have to decided after the game against the Detroit Pistons on Feb. 11 whether to sign him for the rest of the season or release him, as a player can be signed to a 10-day contract only twice consecutively. Unless he somehow impresses, expect him to be gone for the second leg of the Rodeo Road Trip after the All-Star break.
