Is Gregg Popovich the best NBA coach ever?

New, comments

The league's ninth coach to win 1000 games. The fastest to reach that milestone. The second to do it with the same team. Five titles. Three Coach of the Year awards. It's a pretty strong case.

Questions like this are so subjective that they can't ever be settled or put to rest. But at the very least, you expect them to be raised by Spurs fans, or at least someone who's invested in the team.

That's why I was so surprised when, in my weekly appearance on the Phil Naessens Show, Phil stated that (even though he's a die hard Knicks fan) he thinks Pop is the best coach the league has ever seen. And he was serious.

But my segment isn't the only one you'll enjoy listening to. This episode also has Cleveland Cavaliers with Justin Rowan of Fear the Sword, Atlanta Hawks with Kris Willis of Peachtree Hoops, Fantasy Basketball with Rotowire NBA writer Alex Rikleen and Baltimore Orioles talk with former Texas Rangers announcer Rush Olson.
