The Spurs have gained quite a lot of attention from the media lately as they've been demolishing teams in the month of December. Throughout the month, the Spurs have an 11-1 record, have both the league's best offense and best defense, and are sporting a ridiculous +22.2 NetRtg. NBA.com's advanced stats writer, John Schuhmann, put into perspective just how dominant that is:
Going back to '96-97, best NetRtg in a month in which a team played 10+ games was CHI +16.9 in Nov. '96. Again, Spurs at +22.2 this month.

The Spurs have been playing so well, it's almost as if it's the norm for the team win by 20+ on a nightly basis, but we need to realize that we are truly seeing something special. The Silver and Black still have four games to play in December, so that number could change. But if they keep up the pace, it will be the best NetRtg in a month, in which a team played at least 10 games, of all time.
