One half into the LaMarcus Aldridge era, and the Spurs' starting unit has been outstanding on offense while Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are doing what they do, which is not good news for us. But hey, it makes for great TV.
Kawhi has been exceptional so far while the bench has been solid against a deep Oklahoma City team. Nothing to worry about, it's only Half #1 out of #164. Oh, and then there was this.
In today's NBA, great offense typically beats great defense which makes seeing one of the world's premiere scoring talents getting blocked like a little brother by El Mano that much more satisfying.
As far as the rest of the Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge has yet to explode but he's taken advantage of some good looks and appears to be comfortable with his new teammates. Hopefully we've seen the last of the apprehensive Aldridge we saw in the preseason. Manu has been Manu, and Timmy has struggled so far but he's a cyborg so we won't be trading him just yet. Here's to a thrilling finish (that ends in a Spurs W)!
