San Antonio Spurs top five stories of the week: 9/25-10/1

Here are the Spurs stories that generated the most interest over the past week.

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

1. VIDEO: Jimmer Fredette shoots 84/100 on Spurs 100 drill
After hearing about these for years, it's great to finally get to see video of one of them. While it's not of his best attempt (in which he hit 89/100) it's still pretty impressive, especially the last 10 in a row on alternating shots from each corner.

2. Who will replace Marco Belinelli in the Spurs' rotation?
Jesus Gomez takes a look at the Spurs' increasingly long list of likely contenders.

3. The Spurs' Boban Marjanovic makes a giant first impression
Michael Erler talks about what it's like to meet the largest athlete he's ever seen.

4. Spurs hold "Media Day," add another familiar name to roster
Erler's report from the press' first meeting with the 2015-16 San Antonio Spurs.

5. David West explains his "selfish" decision to join the Spurs
A great look at a man who's capable of forgoing $11.1 million, and still think he's coming out ahead because he gets to be a Spur. (Yeah, he's a Spur.)

BONUS:
An excellent piece by Jordan Ritter Conn on Gregg Popovich's days coaching at Pomona-Pizer that you seriously need to read if you haven't already.
