Rasual Butler was coming off his rookie season in the 2002-03 season with the Miami Heat when Pat Riley signed Lamar Odom away from the Los Angeles Clippers with a lucrative offer sheet.
Butler and Odom ended up playing together for one season before Odom was shipped off along with Caron Butler and Brian Grant in the megatrade with the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for Shaquille O'Neal, but the bond between former teammates remains.
With news breaking Tuesday night that Odom was found unconscious and has been hospitalized, Butler was thinking of him and sent out a prayer.
I'm praying really hard for my bro @RealLamarOdom please God bring him through this! He needs you! I'm praying for him and his family!

Butler, as is the entire NBA community, is wishing him all the best so we can only hope that anything will help Odom and his family as they go through this difficult time.
