Austin Daye will see his stats in NBA 2K15 slightly increase, according to a leak from last week.
Must Reads
Daye was rated 64 overall at the release of NBA 2K14, but will be at 67 in this year's edition. Along with Jeff Ayres, Daye will be the least-ranked Spur in the game. The 6'11" 200-pound forward was sent to the Spurs at the trade deadline last season from the Toronto Raptors.
As a Spur, Daye only played in 14 regular season games, averaging 4.1 points and 1.4 rebounds in 8.2 minutes, and one playoff game in the first round. In his six games at the Las Vegas Summer League, he averaged 16.3 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in 27.8 minutes.
Despite the lack of production during the season, the Spurs apparently saw enough out of him to guarantee his contract for the upcoming year. The biggest memory of Daye has to be his performance in March against the Philadelphia 76ers when he poured in 22 points, including six 3-pointers.
Daye's upside is that he's stretch 4 that can cause mismatch problems because of his height. However, he's 26 years old now and still very thin and not the most athletic player. If you can tolerate Daye getting bullied by his defender and being beat off the dribble, he may be worth a spot at the end of the bench.
