When the regular season ended there was hardly any time to prepare before the playoffs, as a result I missed a few cool things that kind of wrapped up the regular season. One of them was a terrific video that NBA put up on it's YouTube channel. It's the Top Teamwork Plays of the 2013-14 Spurs, and it's worth multiple views.
Yes, we've recently focused on a ton of great plays from the playoffs, but it's fun to see these plays because they're not just coming against a team that Pop had prepared specific attacks for. These are plays happening on the fly in the middle of SEGABABAs and FOGAFINIs.
And take special notice of the play at 1:17 -- there's only one dribble and all five players touch it with four passes and a shot in just four seconds. It's the quickest set of one-touch passes that I know of. What a joy to watch.
